FAQ
Quick answers to the questions we hear most.
Why doesn't DOMCopy work on Chrome Web Store pages?
By design, Chromium blocks every extension — whatever permissions it requests — from running scripts on the Web Store itself: listing pages, reviews, and the developer dashboard (chrome.google.com/webstore, chromewebstore.google.com). It is a browser-level protection against store tampering, not a DOMCopy limitation, and it applies to every extension in the store.
On any other site DOMCopy works normally — try it on a documentation page, a news article, or a notebook output.
How do I change the pick-mode shortcut?
Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts, find DOMCopy,
and set any combination you like — the extension picks up the
change immediately, no reload needed.
I bought Pro — where is my license key?
It is sent by email right after checkout — check your spam folder if it hasn't arrived within a few minutes. Paste it in the extension's Options → Pro to activate. Still stuck? Write to [email protected] and we'll recover it.
Does DOMCopy see everything on my pages?
No. DOMCopy reads page content only at the moment you pick an element and press a copy button — and what it reads goes to your clipboard, never to us. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.
